A downloadable game for Windows

In a land of pumpkins and a time of magic, lived a wizard who loved to travel. Once on a cold evening, he grabbed a few twigs and logs he had found in an abandoned house. As he pronounced the words “Alight, Alight”, magic poured out of his hands. The pile of wood infused with magic began to sparkle and flames appeared out of nowhere. The wizard had a fire for the night and after a good rest, he went on with his journey.

Some time had passed since the wizard was here, but the fire did not lose his flame, magic stayed with it. One day, after wanting to move for so long, the fire had a thought :  “What if I flew myself in a pumpkin ?”. Strangely enough, this is the start of your journey.

Alight is a 3D puzzle platformer game about a magic flame. This fire has the capacity to possess pumpkins, it can throw itself from one pumpkin to another. During the game, you will control different pumpkins. Each one is unique and has a special ability.
The player will have to find how to progress in his quest and choose the right pumpkin for the right situation.

This game was made for the end of the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Graphics at the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard (Namur, Belgium).

REALLY FANTASTIC GAME DEV

This was a really cute little game with some fun characters and an interesting set of mechanics. I was sad to see it end so soon, but I understand that a school project is going to have its limits. I think it could have used at least one more level to really tied everything together, but if your team is ever interested in fleshing the concept out I could see a lot of potential for different puzzles.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the game. Initially, we planned to do a 4th level that would tied everything together but we took it off from our plans. As you say it's a school project, we made that game in 3month and we decided to not make that final level in order to have a better polished game.
